About Us
Ayama Farms is a Nigerian agro-processing company focused on reducing postharvest losses and creating sustainable market opportunities for smallholder farmers.
Founded in 2017, Ayama Farms was established to address one of Nigeria’s biggest agricultural challenges — the massive loss of onions and other fresh produce after harvest. Many farmers, especially women in rural communities, often struggle with unstable markets, poor storage systems, and low prices during peak harvest periods. As a result, large quantities of produce are wasted despite months of hard work.
We created a practical and scalable solution by sourcing fresh onions directly from farming communities and transforming them into high-quality onion powder with a longer shelf life. This process helps preserve agricultural value, reduce waste, and increase farmers’ income while supplying homes, food businesses, and industries with affordable locally processed products.
Beyond food processing, Ayama Farms is committed to building stronger rural economies through job creation, youth empowerment, farmer support services, and sustainable food systems.
